Joe Van Hecke is a founder and managing partner of Grace Hall Capital, LLC based out of Chicago. Since its founding in 2007 Grace Hall Capital, LLC has delivered excellence in the form of service, knowledge and dedication. Operating as an independent investment management firm, Grace Hall Capital, LLC manages alternative asset investments taking form as a proprietary trading business and a leveraged fund of hedge fund private offerings. Risk-adjusted returns on an absolute basis across multiple asset classes will be provided to institutional and private investors alike at Grace Hall Captial, LLC and because it is owned by partners who have supplied a significant amount of their personal wealth to the firm, the service they provide is like no other.

Grace Hall Captial, LLC and Joe Van Hecke are also responsible for the Grace Hall Opportunity Fund, LLC, which is also known as “The Fund” and has similar ideals with Grace Hall Capital, LLC and their business model.  With the Grace Hall Opportunity Fund, LLC, Joe Van Hecke implements a leveraged multi-manager strategy diversified across multiple asset classes which seeks attractive risk-adjusted returns on an absolute basis.  The portfolio consists of 15 to 20 underlying funds providing investors with a diversified hedge fund portfolio through a single investment vehicle.  The Grace Hall Opportunity Fund, LLC aims to generate quality absolute returns by gaining access to best-of-breed managers, optimizing diversified leverage and utilizing Joe Van Hecke’s extensive experience with structured hedge fund products.  Joe Van Hecke has more than 12 years of experience successfully investing proprietary and investor capital via The Fund and similar structures to the Grace Hall Opportunity Fund, LLC.

Since graduating from Notre Dame in 1996, Joe has been all over the world, gaining experience and knowledge along the way.  Joe moved to Frankfurt, Germany soon after he graduated and worked there in finance for four and a half years where Joe worked for Bank of America and CMT Securities.  Joe then moved to London and worked there for two more years before coming back to America in 2003.  He lived in Chicago while helping found Grace Hall and now resides in Charlotte, NC.
